Trim and badging appear complete and brightwork is said to show well. The body was repainted in its factory shade of Colonial White in 2007 and some rock chips were repaired at this time. ![]() A front sway bar and new bushings will be included in the sale but are uninstalled. New BF Goodrich Silvertown whitewall tires were installed last month and the front end was refreshed with new bushings, ball joints, shocks, front brakes, and a rebuilt master cylinder. Second generation Thunderbirds were built with a unibody construction and equipped with a rear seat, increasing the length of the car to 205 inches. This Thunderbird is now being offered for sale with its factory build sheet, original manuals, some spare parts, two keys, an original jack, and a clean Nevada title in the seller’s name. Recent servicing included new tires, a new fuel pump, a refresh of the front end, a rebuilt master cylinder and carburetor, a brake fluid flush, and an oil change. It was repainted in 2007 and had a transmission rebuild in 2012. The seller has driven it around 7000 miles. Originally a Texas vehicle, this example was acquired by the seller’s family in 2006 out of Hillsdale, New York, where it had been with its previous owner since 1985. This 1959 Ford Thunderbird is finished in Colonial White and is equipped with a 352ci V8, a Cruise-o-Matic transmission, power steering and brakes, and a 3.10 rear axle.
